What Is Cortisol?
The adrenal gland, following signals from the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, is responsible for the secretion of cortisol, a type of essential glucocorticoid steroid hormone.

Cortisol is also present in both chronically stressed individuals and those who are perfectly healthy. This vital hormone possesses dozens of different purposes within the body and makes numerous chemical interactions every single day.
What does cortisol do exactly? Cortisol receptors are scattered throughout the entire body, found in nearly every cell, and serve different essential functions, including:
• helping to keep us awake and alert
• preventing fatigue and brain fog
• keeping our metabolisms running (it helps us burn fat for energy)
• balancing blood sugar levels
• reducing inflamation
• balancing fluid levels based on salt and water intake
• contributing to control over blood pressure
• helping with many cognitive processes like learning and memory formulation
• allowing us to respond to and escape perceived dangers
• helping to develop the fetus during pregnancy

Changes we will make to heal you…
Your diet is a major contributing factor to your adrenal health. Eliminating inflammatory foods, eating lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meat, and whole grains is essential. Cutting out any foods that contain toxins or chemicals, are difficult to digest, are over-processed, and replacing them with nutrient-rich alternatives will go a long way for your overall health, and in turn, your adrenal health.


What to expect……
Two days a week, we will deliver (Monday and Friday) all the food you need for your day ( Monday delivery contains meals for Monday through Thursday. Friday delivery contain meals for Friday through Sunday) for the duration of the program. Your meal plan will include plenty of superfoods and essential nutrients needed to keep you fueled and satisfied. We prepare everything fresh in our private, commercial kitchen in Pioneer Square and deliver within 8 hours of preparation

What your day will look like....
12oz Celery Juice ( drink on an empty stomach, wait 20 to 30 minutes before consuming first meal)

Breakfast + Supplements (vitamin c, pantothen acid, calcium, magnesium, chromium, relora, green tea extract, ashwagandha extract, holy basil extract, reishi mushroom powder, Rhodiola extract)
